# Career Mentors

The mission of HYF is simple: *Help our trainees get into quality tech jobs*.\
\
As a Career Mentor you will support the trainees on the "final mile" of their journey to become a tech professional and support them with knowledge about how to land their first job in tech.\
\
These roles are for volunteers with and without a technical background, but **in-depth knowledge of the Danish IT Industry and its hiring processes is a key requirement**.

We split up these volunteering roles in 3 main categories:

* [Jobseeker Toolkit](/mentor/roles/career-mentors/jobseeker-toolkit.md) (CV, Linkedin, GitHub)
* [Interview Training](/mentor/roles/career-mentors/interview-training.md) (HR & Technical interview scenarios)
* [1:1 Career Coaching](/mentor/roles/career-mentors/1-1-career-coach.md) (individual mentoring)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://program.hackyourfuture.dk/mentor/roles/career-mentors.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
